The Farewell to Frank Moorhouse was held on the 13th of July 2022 at 2 pm at the State Library of NSW.
In this moving ceremony Frank's brother Arthur joined by many of his personal and professional friends paid tribute to his originality, creativity and deep commitment to social justice, including authors' rights, and to his deep sense of fun.
Frank was a celebrated author, a vocal opponent of censorship, and a vocal advocate for writers' rights to free speech and for copyright of creators to be respected and remunerated. He was the named litigant in the landmark 1975 copyright decision University of NSW v Moorhouse which was fundamental to the future success of the Copyright Agency.
He was made a member of PEN Sydney's Eminent Writers' Panel in 2005.
