In April 2009 the Fiji Daily Post published stores with headlines like “Man Gets On Bus” and “Breakfast As Usual” to protest the intense media scrutiny and censorship that have become the norm in Fiji. Can Australia improve dialogue with Fiji’s government while also supporting efforts to free the Fijian press? Sydney PEN is proud to publish a report by Sydney PEN intern Alison M.
